Dave Weins, the former mountain bike cross country professional, won his 6th consecutive Leadville 100 in Colorado on the 15th of August. He set a new course record of 6:45.47, besting Lance Armstrong’s 6:47.41.
Though Armstrong gave Weins a few moments of worry on the climbs and descents, Weins pulled ahead with 10 miles to go.
