In San Diego a 63 year old man was killed when his bike collided with a police car on University City street. On what was, presumably, his morning commute, Walter Freeman rode his bicycle out of a gas station at around 7:33 am, crossed the road and continued directly into the path of a police cruiser traveling southbound.
The bicyclist died at the scene of the accident.
The police cruiser in question was traveling below the posted speed limit, and was en route to a non-urgent accident.
