Woman Run Over By Garbage Truck While In Bike Lane

Elderly Westbeth NYC actress Shami Chaikin, 78, was riding her motorized scooter in a (supposedly) protected bicycle lane last Thursday morning when she was partially run over by a garbage truck. While she was initially listed in critical condition at St. Vincent’s Hospital, but there seems to be hope that she’ll pull through.
